Kodak Gold 200, October 2006

1. Downtown pigeons – Get out the cliche stamp! This was with the Tele-Tessar. A rather gray day, so I think I was shooting wide open at about 1/30.

2. Church sweeper – The guy sort of gave me the evil eye. A bit ironic, considering he had just walked out of a church. This is with the 28mm Distagon.

3. Old flowers – The 50mm Planar wide open. It was in the shade, so I'm shooting at about 1/30 max.

4. Compass – I wasn't sure what this was, but after I got the photos back, I figured out that it was a compass, because I could see N, S, E and W. See them now? Again, with the Planar, wide open.

5. Crushed leaves – I like the randomness of the shot, although it's also borderline messy and disorganized. Sort of like my life ... or my camera room. The 50mm Planar, probably at f/5.6 or f8.

6, 7, 8. Frozen red leaf – This is the first of three shots that I really like involving frozen flora. All were shot with the Planar wide open, roughly about 1/15 to 1/30.

9-10. Reflections – The mist on the water ... see it near the top of No. 9? That's with the Planar. The next shot is with the Distagon from about 10 feet to the right.
