GREG COLE was one of the dog handlers in
Maine, and he had heard that I was interested in photography. One day he asked me if I
would take some photos of him at an upcoming K-9 competition. I agreed, and we eventually
became friends. Greg loved to fish, and shortly before I left for Germany, Greg, his wife
and I went on an overnight fishing-camping trip in northern Maine. We're out there, and
I'm catching quite a few fish. Poor Greg isn't even getting a nibble. Every time I catch
another fish, Greg gets a little more steamed. Pretty soon, the fish are literally jumping
out of the water right next to the boat just to torment him. By this time, Greg is
having a fit. He finally caught his one and only fish after sunset and when we had just
enough time to get back to shore before it became completely dark. Pentax MX, 50mm lens,
