| IN THE SUMMER OF 1984, I worked with a great gang of guys at the games warehouse of Kennywood Park, an amusement park near Pittsburgh. At first, we couldn't stand each other, but within a few weeks we were inseparable. We spent the summer working hard during the day and staying out all night except for the older man Frank, who would follow us to the bar once in a while and then get in a heap of trouble with his wife. Jim, on the left, ran the show, while Tim and Rich kept me in stitches. In the fall, I entered my senior year at college, and then we began to drift apart. It was sad but inevitable. But that summer was magical we set the standard for others to follow. Nikon FE, 50mm lens, Kodak Pan-X 32. |
